University led learning

We are committed to attracting the highest calibre of candidates into the profession who share a passion for life-long learning, both for themselves and the children they teach.  We also believe that educational research plays a significant contribution into the development of pedagogical knowledge and understanding. Ensuring our trainees have access to the latest thinking and educational developments enables them to plan and deliver lessons of the highest quality, leading to outstanding outcomes for both trainees and pupils.

All trainees are given the opportunity to work towards 60 Master-level credits and the award of a Post Graduate Certificate in Education, delivered by Birmingham City University.

All BCU lectures and seminars are delivered by experienced BCU academic staff at the campus of our accredited provider, Two Mile Ash, in Milton Keynes.  The combination of higher level academic study with the hands-on, practical nature of our school-led programme gives our trainees the perfect balance of theory and practice, making for well-rounded, informed and inspirational teachers.

Our collaboration with Birmingham City University provides the valuable opportunity for our written assignments to be recognised at postgraduate level. The three assignment modules are submitted to the university for assessment and lead to an award of 60 Masters Level credits.

Those opting for this course will be required to pay for the additional PGCE qualification.
