QTS School Direct (tuition fee funded)

Course Overview:
This is a non-salaried School-Based Initial Teacher Training route to gain Qualified Teacher Status, specialising in the age range 5 - 11 years (Primary) There is an option to complete a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) through our partnership with Birmingham City University.
These are tuition fee funded routes; fees for 2021/22 are £8400 for QTS only and £9250 for the PGCE with QTS .
Once trainees have accepted a place on this training programme, they can apply to the Student Loans Company for a tuition fee loan to cover the cost of their training. Trainees may also be entitled to a tax-free training bursary which is determined by their degree class. For further information, please visit www.gov.uk and search for 'teacher training bursaries'.
Trainees on a tuition fee route will also be required to cover the cost of an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) application; a prerequisite for working in schools.
